Oh Gosh YES!
they really are kinda tiny ;) |
Another vote from me. Makes me insane (moreso) when I can only see a few lines at once. An incredibly easy thing to recode...!!

Ditto! I hate losing PM's AND especially forum posts that I try to send while the site is updating and I don't realize it (i.e. midnight). Very frustrating.
Not to sound ungrateful, but, again, why haven't some of these really easy fixes been addressed yet? I know they've been suggested in the past. |

Add me to those who want a larger PM box. I am trying to answer PMs from my mentorships and I can't explain the things I need to explain when I can't see what I'm writing. I'm all for a bigger PM box.
(it's funny that larger PM box thread started the larger comment box thread and the larger comment box came almost immediately while this sits in exile).

I'd like to see PM's implemented as an online, site-specific mailbox so that when I log on, I have an indicator that tells me I have a message. I would think that the system could also send me an email telling me to check my PM's on the site. To avoid storage issues, maybe the messages in a PM inbox would have an expiration date, but could be downloaded in .txt format should a user wish to archive them on their own system.
It would also be nice to be able to quote the previous message in a reply so that I don't have to send a message back that does not have continuity, switch back and forth between windows to see how the specific inquiry I'm answering is worded or have to clunkily copy and paste the previous message into the new message box.
And, yeah, I agree with a lot of the other commenters, the boxes are just too dang small.

Yeh, having the previous message in the reply would be very helpful! So would a list of "last 10 PMs sent" or something, because sometimes I forget to send myself a copy and lose track of what I have/haven't sent!

3) give the sender a 'return' message when the recipient's email address is invalid
thanks! |
On e-mail address, at least give a check box that allows sender to input current e-mail address so people using outlook or such can do a reply to message without having to go back to dpc and use PM. If the sender does not want to attach actual e-mail then they don't have to check the reply to sender box. This is frustrating

I think the PM function needs to be integrated into the site so that it doesn't have to go to an email address. Much like the messaging systems on sites like ebay or myspace. |
