I've had my toy for about 4 hours now. I must say that so far I am extremely pleased. Here are some sample pictures.

Subject matter isn't very exciting, but you get the idea.

I hope that Canon comes out with a 10mp DSLR. Unfortunetly I cant afford to purchase a 5D at the moment (which is what I really could use) so a 10mp monster would be great right about now.

I couldn't afford a new camera either. So I sold my ATV trailer, plow and an ATV ( 2004 Kawasaki 700 V-Force). The other ATV is going next (2002 Kawasaki Prairie 650). Can you believe that? I traded quads for cameras.

Good trade in my books Spydr.

Camera will hold its value more and is less likely to break your neck.

Unless you go really crazy and stick a monster telephoto on it... or lean out too far to get that perfect angle on the mountaintip vistaaaaAAAAaaaaAAAaaaaahhhh!!!!!

I'm really hoping that canon comes out with something similar to the current 1d with the 1.3x crop and a bigger sensor with 8MPx but in a body similar to the 20D.

That's my dream right now.

The 1D is a beautiful mix of camera abilities, but is just a bit too large for my tastes.

Bigger photosites = happy photogeeks
