After having the camera for a day now (I was able to get it before Christmas :) ), I have already taken over 200 shots and I must say that I am rarther impressed. I had read so many negative reviews on it that I was a bit nervous to see how it performed. I am proud to say that it works stupendously! I now feel much more like the world is my canvas and I no longer have the limitations I once had with my little Sony. No, it's not a DSLR, but I believe it's the best you can get without it bein' one. I was able to get mine for about $500 new, so for me it was worth it for me. People will talk about how it's like $700, but they aren't looking in the right places.
Anyways, I just thought I'd tell you that I finally got my new camera and am thrilled to death! I hope to be able to get some shots up sooner or later (probably later seeing that I barely have the times or means to write in the forums, let alone enter a challenge given my current situation as a missionary). I'd also be willing to answer questions that people may have about it (seeing as I did for a long while) that are looking into getting one. Just remember that you have to take certain things into consideration when looking at the S9000 and others reviews. First, consider the source and take negative comments with a grain of salt. Second of all, you know your needs better than anyone else does.
Anyways, I am way stoked! I'm loaded and ready to shoot! |
