On my camera when I select HQ or SHG I have three options to choose from:

2288 X 1712
2288 X 1520
3200 X 2400

Under Tiff I have four options:
2288 X 1712
2288 X 1520
2048 X 1536
1600 X 1200

Can someone explain to me which option I should use if I know in advance I'm going to be upsizing a photo or better yet when I should change it from the default in general. (The default on my camera is 2288 X 1712) Thank you.

Largest with the best quality. tiff is uncompressed but the file size is quite large.

I think you would be best off using 2288x1712. While it's true that 3200x2400 is better resolution, I'm almost positive that it is achieved through in-camera interpolation as your camera is only 4 megapixels. In that case, you'd be much better off upsizing yourself later on the computer where you have more flexibility and options like step interpolation.
