		I saw it at Costco today for 75. I know it can be found cheaper online. What I'm wondering is if it's better then psps- I have PSP8. Or is it about the same. Hubby was asking me what I wanted for Christmas apart from other camera goodies. I'd love to get photoshop CS2, but that is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of our pricerange lol.

 Is elements an addon for CS2? |

		Elements is the budget version of CS2. Some feature are not available on it.

 It's cheaper to buy a Wacom tablet and receive the software free. You may be able to find a Wacom Graphire for less then the $75.

 I would definitely do that if I had it to do over again, two-fers are always the best.

		Try 'The Gimp'
 //www.gimp.org/

 It's as powerful as the full photoshop (if not more) and it's free :)

		PSP8 - which I use - has fractionally more features than Elements - at least that Elements used to have, I don't know about version 4.

		You're a little behind. PSPX (v10) is much better (especially with all the built-in help for beginners) than v8, an improved GUI, and has more functionality than any version of Elements.

 There's a free trial of it. You owe it to yourself to check it out. It's the closest thing to CS2 you'll find and a whole lot less.

 (Yes, I have both, but I only use PSPX now cause it's so much easier. I broke the Adobe Habit! Woo Hoo!) |

		I used to have PSP and liked it a lot.

 What I DIDN'T like about it was the lack of support - it seems that almost every tutorial, lesson, "how did they do that", forum reference etc is about Photoshop.

 I always felt left out of the loop, and have found it much easier to learn new stuff and get questions answered since switching to PS (and I include Elements in that statement, since it is PS's little sibling). |
