Wow, I admire a lot of people's bravery to just go and shoot some shots. I was brought up being constantly reminded to never take any photos while at a funeral or graveyards. I still hold that until today, just incase something goes wrong with the picture and I'll probably be crying my eyes out from fear.

This a somthing I have said to people about why dont we allways get them on camera all the time my aunt is a "medium" and she can take a photo of a place where she says there is a "spirit" and she will always get one but when she says there are none well there isnt..
and i dont even think half of the stuff is real lol

Not ALL orbs are dust or rain or snow, etc. There are actual phenomenon orbs, and it is those that are not caught all the time unless there is a lot of energies around where the shot is taken. Most orbs are actually dust though, and can be easily distinquished from the real by process of elimination as stated earlier.
I will check my email.

Mediums, Psychics, etc, will usually always get phenomenon on film when they are specifically in or looking for a place that has it. You will also see more phenomenon happen around them or when they are present as well. More energies are sucked from those with abilities. They are used like batteries, as spirits need energy to show forms of it, so they take it from those more in tuned or from electrical sources, etc.
However, in reference of getting them "all the time", would really be like expecting that flower will be there whenever you want to shoot it. Better yet, if someone took a photo of your front door, what would be the odds of you being in each and every shot coming out or going in the door? Spirits or beings move about as well. Not always caught on film. Not always in the same place twice. Not even in the same form all of the time. This is why it is so hard to catch them, and when one does it is rare. Certainly not common.

I have an enhanced sensitiviy to paranormal activity, though I've been too chicken to cultivate this ability. I've had a couple of experiences in one of the homes we are working on. The last time I was there, I heard a distinct vocalization. It startled me, but not as much as one house I lived in where I sometimes heard my name spoken. This also happened at a very haunted house belonging to my best friend.
Rose, It never occurred to me that a person could persuade an entity to appear on film. I just thought it was random. The next time I sense the presence I will take some photos and mvs to see what happens.
Love this thread and think the skeptics are great too. I'm very skeptical, and I've had some experiences that I'd love to have explained.

They can absolutely be persuaded, but sometimes you have to be careful what you ask for. LOL....
In any case, you should take photos when you sense something. And EVP's too. It just may work out, and it has for others in the past, so why not you?
It's weird being sensitive isn't it? I don't cultivate it myself, and if it happens it happens. I wouldn't WANT to cultivate it personally. It's way too freaky sometimes. LOL...

My sentiments exactly. I'm not phased by any creepy crawler. I don't have a single phobia. But sneak up on me or make an unexpected loud noise and I'll jump right out of my skin! The thought of running into dead people everywhere is a bit more than I can handle. At the same time, I'm quite fascinated by it all. |

i've had the same rule until a couple of weeks ago, and then shot a couple of pics that involved graveyards.. not sure why...
