This is a "fun" little internet explorer "feature", yes, and can happen even without the name "untitled" in some versions. (Assuming you are using IE, or a Windows browser that uses it underneath - if not - it still is but that may not help you!) If you do a save-as of a jpg by right-clicking it, you'll end up with a BMP in some versions of IE.
The following will work for IE6, not sure about previous versions: To get around it, you can either create a link to the photo (on a personal web page or a file on your machine or the like), right-click it, and select "save target as" (which will work normally), or you can just go to the page where your photo displays full-size, and select "file", then "save as". Save it as "web page, complete". Wherever you save that, it will create an HTML file, plus a subdirectory with the same name. Your photo will be in the subdirectory - copy it out and delete the rest. |
