I don't mean in a professional set up, I mean when you're out with your camera taking photos for yourself.
Most of the photos I take are for me, if someone else likes them then that's great but that's not what I set out for. That was until the Christmas market came to Cardiff.
There was a photographer there selling his prints for a handsome sum, and very nice they were too. So I took a look at what he was doing, what sort of photos sell, and then tried to shoot in that style, tried to look at things differently.
I ran off a few prints and with mixed results, some of which I'm really not impressed with and some of which I am very happy with.
So I'm just wondering if anyone else here has looked at something and photographed it just because it's the sort of things which sell? |

I know this isn't what you are talking about... but I shoot things all the time for stock photography... Things that don't really interest me, personally, but I know will sell in that market.

I shoot for stock all the time and love it...but I still shoot for fun and family too!
