Hi, I'm a continous light kind of guy, so you'll have to bear with me on this question: How do I use the SB-800 off camera with the D70 in MANUAL MODE? I figured out how to get it to work off camera buy setting it to remote and then turning my cameras pop up flash into the commander flash, but, I can't maunally control my flash when I do that. Is there a step I'm missing here, or do I need to by the AS-15 and use a sync cord? If thats the case, where can I get a sync cord longer than 3ft? (I'm looking for one about 10 feet or so long) Do I need to have more than one Speed light to use the advanced wireless lighting system? Just an FYI, I have been reading around in the manual, but like I said, Flashes are a new thing for me (still hate not being able to see exactly what I"m getting till I take a picture! and the preview light is nice, but nothing like a good old fresnel). Any help or insights would be much appreciated! Thanks!

When you set the camera flash to commander mode, there's a second screen where you can pick ttl, auto, or manual mode

try that...
