Bummer...fell further down to a 4.7 (which means this shot will lower my avg)

My 4am-5am is doing great and since that thread is not too active I will post it here, its 6.4+ with 11 comments :) .. my highest score so far :) |

| There are 159 entrees for this challenge, and I have received 159 votes - the last one being 24hours ago! Anyone else seeing a significant slow down in voting? I figure it will pick up again on the last day of voting. |

What I think is interesting about this challenge is the number of photos where the photographer obviously does not know enough about exposure. It is sad, but I see way to many images where the candle is just a blown out blob and the rest of the image is grainy, showing that the photographer likely left the camera set on autoexposure. Some photos are meant to be mostly dark when properly exposed, but I guess some do not understand that yet.
I hope that by seeing the other, very well done shots they will be able to learn from that. After all, that is the whole point of the site and why we are here isn't it? |

Been like this all year but I have just entered my Shallow DOF picture and I am SOOOOO HAPPY with it, Im sure it will be a new record for me, as for this entry, well, I thought the same for that too but the voters didnt like it so much. Im still very happy because someone made it a Favorite and the comments were fantastic.
Looks like ELSAPO gets the blue, gonna be a low score that takes the ribbons (not meaning that 6.5 is low at all)

My second challenge so far since joining... and lol I almost didn't submit the picture. It is an improvement over my first challenge...so I am just glad I am making improvements. |

WOW, I got something like 112th place and I am being asked to validate my entry now. WISH it was because I was in the top 5 ! LOL....

I got a 124th place. Well, at least my photo was unique. There wasn't a single other photo that was in my style. Sadly, wish it got more comments (good or bad) to help me learn.
I bet it would have done very well in the Visual Pun challenge.
