I'm a certified paid professional photographer! I've had two sessions now, the first was a great learning experience (only 4 customers the whole day but I learned a lot!), the second was just plain fun! The kids were great! They got so excited when they saw Santa and Mrs. Clause! Some were scared but we managed to work around it! :)

I made a grand total of $55.98 this weekend so far after paying Santa
for Saturday, paying Ellie for Saturday and my cost of printing up the
pictures! Not a lot but hey, it's a start and there is still next
weekend to look forward to! And people could still order more stuff on line.

I feel very good overall about the whole weekend!

Well congrats on a good start Deannda.
No trees fell, Santa wasn't drunk and no fights broke out I assume.
Besides, you made $55.98 more than I did

Oh and the things I learned?

One, never advertise in the Star Gazette again. Already emailed the to cancel all future contracts and ads.

Two, more lead time, more flyers, more word of mouth.

Three, More lead time, more flyers, more word of mouth, did I mention that already?

Four, practice the routine more.

NUMBER FIVE! ORDER MORE RAM FOR THE COMPUTER!!! Dumb thing froze up on me, TWICE! Other than that, no problems!

No Santa wasn't drunk yesterday but he was late, LOL! My first appointment had been there for 5 minutes before Santa showed up but the younger girl didn't care, when he walked in the door her eyes lit up like you wouldn't believe!

And today at the theater, OMG! It was hilarious. There was one little boy, he came around the counter from the lobby, saw Santa on the stage and RAN down the aisle so fast and up those stairs, it was great. He flew into Santa's lap. They didn't want pictures and that's fine, just watching him sit back in Santa's arms and talk to him was so worth it. The kids were just fantastic today with the exception of three of them who were scared but we managed to work it out.

Generally speaking lead time is the time it takes 1lb of lead to melt when heated over an open flame at 1250 degrees f.

er... it could also be the time between when you begin to plan something and when you actually do it.

Bingo! Take more time to plan and advertise. I think next weekend will be better simply because it was planned further ahead, more advertising and the store sells PUPPIES! :)
