One would have to assume, them living near each other and all, that they did in fact conspire on the final images:

Slippy: Hey Joey? I'm thinking of flushing this challenge down the toilet...

Joey: Oh, c'mon dude, you gotta finish!

Slippy: That's not what I meant... (evil laugh)

Joey: Eh?

Slippy: I mean, I got a toilet here, I got a camera... Do I need to paint a picture?

Joey: OHHHHH! That's sick! I like it!

Slippy: Figured you would!

Joey: Maybe I'll do the same thing... Dueling thrones!

Slippy: I was hoping you'd say that! Let the battle of the turds begin!

(fade to black, eerie music...)

I'm really shocked, I always thought Joey's bathroom looked more like this:

Just a few more votes and we can call round 4.

It's a runaway..... train that is. ;)

Oh great, that was going to be my next entry, curses on you Roflmao! ;-)

I'll try to edit one up this morning. I'm supposed to be writing a project report, probably less fun than writing a school essay, but at least I get paid for it.

Crap. Sorry Slippy - I thought it was all over. I wasn't paying attention. Ohhhh it's just like junior high school all over again.

...so then who won Round 4?? Looks like enough votes are in...

Slippy is the big winner!!!

So I guess we're finished, eh?

I'd like to thank the academy, the director, and all the producers for their depth of talent & professionalism; my wife & kids for their love & support; the ho on the corner for the wax-job; and all the little people who voted. Thanks also to Lee, for some fine entertainment!

So what do I win?

My back is a bit sore after shovelling the driveway this morning. Maybe as a prize Joey could come over & shovel my driveway after each snowstorm this winter?

I'm going to be revamping the system after the first of the year and try this again. Would you guys be interested in another duel?
12/16/2005 02:20:15 PM · #38
I sure as hell would be interested in taking on that "Butterball Ham" in the next round. (That's Slippy for the uninitiated, in his own words). May I have a reservation, please? I want to let my inner slippy out mano-a-mano.

I'm pretty spent. I haven't entered a challenge in a while and want to get back into that. But maybe I'll feel revived after a week's holiday, we'll see.

Keep it up though, I'm sure there'll be lots of interest.

Tell me about it. I haven't been able to enter any challenges either (mainly due to lack of talent and/or inspiration). It's going to take some time for everyone to get over this bout anyway... I would like to see you and Robert toe to toe though... Maybe in a couple of months we'll revisit this!

Actually, I thought it was going to work in rounds with the winners going through 'till there was a final and an ultimate winner.. ;)

Ha, I was posting the same time as you, so didn't see yours 'til now. No dodge, I'll probably be up for it again in a while. I just want to get back into doing challenges, which has fallen by the wayside since the move to our new house.

Yeah me too. I would like to pick up where we left off, but it's so time consuming, I need to revamp the process a little. Don't worry, I'm working on a new and improved version of "The Gauntlet" that promises to be easier for everyone involved. I'll probably host it off-site so I can write some scripts to make the process a little less painful. Neil's (nshapiro) challenge has given me some good inspiration.

edit to add: I'm with Slippy on the whole "I want to get back into the challenges" category.
