Maybe I'm not seeing this feature on DP...but if it doesn't exist, I think it should. It's nice that there is a lens section (under equipment). But other than the number of people that own it, the number of views, and a link to buy it...it doesn't give any more information. I think we should all be able to vote on each lens...just like the challenges. Maybe only registered DP members can vote...so when you click on the lens, it will show you everyone that owns the lens, but underneath the picture, it will also give the option of voting on it...at at the top, or off to the side, the ongoing average will be posted...i.e. 8.5, etc. I find myself having to PM people all the time about what they think regarding a specific lens...and that helps, but it's just one person. I really think the site would be more useful with a feature like that. Same goes for cameras. And eventually (or right away), you could also include comments, just like the challenges. So people not only get to see who has the camera, but they also see an average vote (1-10), sample pictures, and a list of comments regarding the lens. DP looses a lot of traffic to other sites when it comes to decision making (I usually go to FM or a myriad of other sites for that type of info).
