Best of 2005 Challenge Etiquette question (rather than a strict rules one):

Is it frowned upon to use a shot from your DPC porfolio?

Not by me. Why should you hide your best of 2005 al year just because of DPC? That'd be insane.
Unfortunately I have changed the NEF files from my best of 2005 shots. :(
Now I need to figure out how to get the same results from a basic jpeg.

fine by me too

Can someone please explain "Best of 2005". Is it a challenge like the normal ones.? Do we have to enter a new photo that hasn't been seen on dpc? Or can it be one already entered before? It's my first year so haven't participated in a "Best of year" before.

Thanks

Lord, I'd be so limited as to be worthless.

Yeah, I don't care about anonymity anyways, as long as my vote is still anonymous, I couldn't give a hoot.

I don't see a Best of 2005 posted as yet but last year the Best of 2004 did not allow any photo that was used in a previous challenge. See:

Yes, last year it was ok to use something that had been in your portfolio or even posted in the forums (and I seem to remember recognizing a good number of the entries!) but you couldn't use anything that had been entered into one of the other challenges.

Is there definitely going to be a Best of 2005?

I'd bet my mom's virginity on it.

I used something from my portfolio last year. All I did was hide it (in the portfolio) so it was only seen as a challenge entry during voting.

Last year it was in January. Hope they wait until then so I don't miss it while I'm away.
