Why would someone spend $25.00 on a yearly membership, be a member for over a year, and not post to any challenges? So that they could vote an average 4.096 and voice concerns over a picture of a knife being violent. I have been on this for a while. I don't complain about the voting system. I don't usually rant. I enter some challenges. I never score above a 5.*. Who cares? What I get in a challenge is what I deserve, but when someone who doesn't even enter challenges or post any photos in their portfolio tries knocking me for violence in a contest that is ridiculous. I guess I should be thankful that such an impartial judge exist on this site that they would be willing to pay just to critique others photos.

Unless it just changed in the last couple of days, the guy you're complaining about isn't a paying member. I sympathize with your rant, just wanted to clarify that his pointless critique cost nothing more than the time to write it.

I feel I should point out that only members can vote on members challenges, but all users can post comments.

Whilst I don't happen to agree with his comment on your entry - this is an adult site and younger children participate here with their parents' permission and understanding of that fact - I hardly think his comment (not rudely made) warrants a public rant.

Given that he's made over 400 comments that people have found helpful, compared with your 39 I think he contributes to the site very well.

Everyone has their own reasons to be here, their own ways of contributing and participating.

We might not appreciate every comment or opinion from every other member but that's no reason to question each others right to be here.

If nothing else, you sparked my curiosity ... going to look for that comment now.

A while back i entered this in a challenge and while it did not do well, i did not get any coments regarding violence, children or anythiing else, and i was trying to imply violence.

I guess the world (and DPC) is getting too PC.

What next, no nudity? Woody gotta wear clothes?
