At the expense of sounding like a snob I added this little gem as a back up camera today. I was fortunate enough to sell my Contrabass (double bass) we are moving back to UK and I could never take this with me simply too big, well today a friend who works in a digital store bought it for 70,000 yen (a bargain)($620) and without delay I handed him the money straight back for the little D50 in black body only set, I have enough lenses. This will be a back up to my D2H but after using it for the day I have to say Im very impressed with it, its a D70 in a smaller box, very nice, light, 6.1MP. The Wife-2-b is getting a D70 for Xmas so until then ive told her she can share the D50.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am to have it in my bag, it might be getting used a lot more than the D2H....
