I wrote to site council three days before submitting my "Too Late" entry in regards to what I feel "may" be a problem. I never received a response. Now I have my first comment. It says "good one, but you will be dq'ed for this entry".

If there is a problem with council receiving PM's, will one of you please PM me so I can have you put "validated" at the bottom of my entry? I think that votes, although not supposed to be, reflect that of a possible DQ.

Rose -- The best way to get your photo reviewed for validation is to request validation on your photo with a submission of your original. If you have any other issues, the ticket system is the best way to reach site council, not through individual PMs which may get lost or unread for days.

Rose -- I will be happy to PM you right now, but with respect to your entry, please request validation on it through the voting page in the challenge and then give the reason you want us to review it and it will be done. Whether or not your PM was received, at this point the best way to get your photo looked at is through a validation request.

Please use the "request validation" link on your entry and upload your original for consideration.

There wasn't a problem with the site outside a short time yesterday and that only affected private messages. Submitted tickets came through just fine. Yours didn't ever seem to appear, unless you sent it somewhere besides to the SC. Perhaps there was a problem on your end.

Nope, not on my end. I used the site. I went to help/contact/general inquiry, and gave my explination there. Never heard nuttin from nobody. :) I don't want to submit an entry, have it go through, and THEN ask for a validation on it, cause then it may be "too late" LOL..

There is no ticket listed from you. It's possible that maybe it timed out in mid send or something. You can not get a photo prevalidated, due to the fact that you can change your entry up until the second before voting starts. If you don't want to submit your photo for validation after voting starts, then you wont get a validation note.

hbunch, I didn't know you couldn't validate it pre-challenge, but I did send it through the site as I stated. What happened after that, I have no idea.

I can do the validate through the voting area now I suppose, but I

Rose, if it is regarding your "Too Late" entry, you did submit a ticket. I thought I had responded with the answer.

Under any circumstances, go ahead and submit for validation now. It shouldn't be a problem.

Rose, for what its worth, If you already had a comment saying your image would be DQ'd, then its probably the same image I saw earlier and thought the same thing. So annonimity is already busted a bit.

Well, we are all entitled to mistakes. Lord knows I have made them in my time. :) HENCE I called you a he and spelled it karmet rather than karmat. LOL..

In any case, it has been stated now that my entry is a valid one by questions I had on it. I may be asked for the original, and I do have it, so if that happens I am sure all will be fine. It basically is exactly what I entered, and exif data is in tact and reflects proper date/time.

I just hope those who are voting vote like it is valid, cause it is.

site council is "rewarded" for their efforts with a customized icon. It isn't a feature available to the rest of the users! sorry!
