Why do images look so different on laptop/lcd monitors than they do on a traditional computer screen, or from when they're printed out?
I've noticed that I'll get a picture looking exactly how I want it on my laptop, then I'll either print it out or have the occassion to see it from another computer (like right now I'm at work) and the pictures look so dark. |

Different callibration, different colors
I've have it set on 9200K, but can set it on 5500K and it looks darker.
U have to calibrate your monitor, but at the end your print will never match the color of your monitor.

Laptop screens in general are a lot brighter than desktop screens, and LCD screens will always look more vivid than CRTs. You can adjust the brightness of the screen down if you want, but images are going to look fairly different on every screen anyway...
