I need to send off about 100 5x7's of Santa with different kids that people purchased. What's the cheapest way to send them out without making it too easy for the photo to get bent in USPS transit?
Share your experience!
Thanks,
Eric |

Having the last 30 threads on the home page makes it last longer. You only waited 10 minutes. ;o)

Use a stiff cardboard Photo Mailer stamped "Photographs" and "Do Not Bend". Sandwich the photo between two sheets of soft tissue Then hope for the best.
You can also use a plain manila envelope with some cardboard inserted into that.

I have mailed many photographs. I use the US post office photo mailers (cardboard inserts inside envelopes). As Spazmo99 stated, the window will stamp them "Photographs" "do not bend" typically in red lettering on a white envelope.

I mail LOTS of prints from 5x7 to 11x14 in manila envelopes. Inside I put the photo in a piece of cardboard tht is 1/4 inch larger than the cardboard and enclose both in a plastic bag (for waterproofing). I tape the bag tight around the photo/cardboard so the photo cant slip & get the corners bent in transit. In 8 years of mailing pix I've lost only 2 or 3 8x10s by the USPS and they were REALLY crusshed.
Do not bend, of course gets printed largely on the outside! |
