some people started posting to it not knowing what it was
and they'll continue posting forever just because

Parents of toddlers will now have a tune in their heads that lasts for days! You're welcome. :P

Why exactly do the North Americans protect them? Is it because they're pretty foul eating (no avian pun intended...)? I used to look foward to fall when they'd fly South over my town and beyond to wherever they spent the winter--their beautiful V shaped flights through autumn sky--haralded by the distant honking as they passed...
>>Key words in this passage: over, beyond, passed<<
(Who said they could take up residence on every grassy field and live year-round?!)

Nice idea...doesn't work. The city parks rented dogs to come 2x a week and chase them away...which caused the university to do the same....Can't poison them. Can't scare them. Can't walk safely where they've been..... It's sort of like the squirrel at the feeder problem--no such thing as a squirrel-proof feeder. If you don't want squirrels, don't feed them. :( If you don't want geese, stop making perfect environments for them....
Unfortunately, few of us want to give up football, soccer, baseball and other field sports.

In Vancouver they go in and shake the eggs but leave them in the nest. This reduces the number that are born though there's still too many of them.
