I just realized you did "night mare" also; one of my favorite pumpkins! Anyway this is just a heck of a shot in my eyes. For sure include it in the portfolio. I assume that's Boomer?

Nicely done; the soft glow that seems to emanate from the horse's mane gives this image a somewhat surreal feeling. The bokeh is nicely done. The only thing that I see that might be improved (and I'm nitpicking here) is that the pure white neck and face seem to be mottled with some odd grey/blue splotches, possibly shadows. Doing something with these markings, either dodging them out or burning them a bit for emphasis, could make the photo more interesting; as it is they're noticeable, but serve no clear purpose.
I agree with bear, the choice to crop out the face adds interest to the photo. Is this image a member of a larger group of frame-filling shots of horses running? The fractured vision leaves me wanting more. |
