I have to say that I received the ABSOLUTE best customer service/tech support/turn around ever this week.
My sound card bit it. Toshiba sent me a packing box. I sent the box on Tuesday. It's Thursday. This is my laptop. It's been fixed, CLEANED (monitor, keyboard, etc), a new power cord hooked up to it (last one was loose, but I didn't mention that) and everything is spotless. It arrived this afternoon.
2 day turnaround and I was in Montreal for the off-day. What a surprise to come home to!
Go Toshiba! (I love my laptop, my last one was a Satellite, had it and loved it, got another one now).

Many years ago when I worked in tech support, I was impressed by the Toshiba laptops. I'm pleased to hear about your good experience. One day I may buy a laptop & I'm certain to look for a Toshiba.

I'm typing this on a Toshiba Portege 7200cte that I've had for three years now. It's been stable and solid from the day I bought it. I decided to buy it because I used to work as network support for an engineering company. They used Toshiba laptops exclusively and the amount of punishment they went through was amazing. Very well built laptops, IMHO.

I still have and use a Sattelite Pro T2150CDT ... circa 1995. HD failed a couple of years ago, so replaced the original 500Mb w/ a 1.3Gb HD ... everything else works to this day. Too bad its a 486DX4 w/ 12Mb of RAM and 10.4" LCD, which does not make it a good photo editing machine ... hehe :)
