Hello,

I have been voting the last few days. At first I thought it was my imagination but now I know it's not because I today I was "looking" for it.

I have been voting on the same shot more than once at a sitting. I'll vote on 5 to 15 shots and then a few of them come back up for another vote.

Has anyone else been getting this? I"m going back to vote more. I'll let you know if it happens again.

Thanks for the 2 "10's" :P

I have not noticed. I have come across those I have intentionally left for later, but not those I have voted on.

I saw it a couple of days ago while I was voting. There were a couple of shots that kept coming up and I know I had already voted on them. I just figured it was my imagination until I read this thread!

seems to happen to me a fair bit, too. Quite annoying at times, especially when it is a HUGE challenge already!

As I continue voting today, I do get that sense of deja vu so strongly that I'm sure I voted on some of the pictures before. I wonder if it was, perhaps, in an earlier challenge!

This tends to happen if you are away from the computer or idle on the site for a length of time in the voting area.. you time out and the votes "reset" sort of, and your first ones don't count..

It's come up before, so don't worry about it. Just try not to time out while in voting.

I can confirm that. Finally wored it out. I used to just leave the next image on screen while I had dinner. A sure sign is when you do fiannly vote, the next screen you see is the thumbnails for the challenge you're voting in. That mean's you've timed out and the page has reset.

What I didn't realise is what Artiste is saying, that you lose the voting on the whole block that you've done, not just the one on screen. If that's the case, no wonder sometimes it takes me ages to get to 20%.

Am not at all happy about that if it is in fact the case.

The site times out the log in after a while, assuming it is to reduce the server loads. Does get frustrating having to re-log in all the time, and losing the voting process that was being worked on. Firefox does have a refresh page extension that is configurable from 5 seconds up, but when voting, gets kinda goofy as well as adding views to image stats.

yah, little known fact. I'm not 100% sure if you lose the *whole* block, or just the image you left it on when you started the idle.. but I think that the first one is the case.. someone higher up could confirm that. Anyway, just be sure you vote and then go to the main page before you leave the computer. Problem solved.

I don't know about this theory, I guess it could be true but either way the shots we are voting on are still getting two + votes. If this theory is true then why haven't my votes gone down?

Perhaps these are some of the votes getting thrown out in the calculation process at the end of each challenge? Either way it's frustrating knowing that I have to vote twice.
