Your picture should use an effect or situation that's never (or hardly ever) been seen or done before on DPC.

Good Luck! ;)

I love it. But I think we'd be encouraging the DNMC trolls rather than discouraging them...

That would be the lowest scoring challenge ever....

Twelve comments all telling me DNMC is not my cup of tea. ;)

i dunno this did pretty well in 'where's waldo II'

i think a mild theme might help with the challenge though.

Perhaps outside the box should have been "Take a photo that's not the typical style of shot that would win a challenge".

That would include:

Low saturation (but not B&W)
Soft focus
Motion blur
Abstract
Subjectless landscape

(at least)

I have a feeling that the best photos that actually met the challenge would be voted the lowest in this type of Free Style challenge.

Hard to get voters to think outside the box.

If we were really serious about this, we could get D&L to reverse the standings after voting but before posting; the lowest score would get the blue :-)

Perhaps these could all be challenges in themselves. Then I might actually win a ribbon. Accidental motion blur is my forte. :)

Most of those have already been challenges, and Neil's suggestion is pretty close to Breaking New Ground.

My free study entry is something I haven't seen on dpc before...

I like it but you'd have to clarify, what's "in the box".

It's a pretty full box as it stands. In fact, it's pretty jam packed with people...and more keep jumping in.

...but it's still gonna be hard to define.

Wouldn't this be similar to the "innovative Techniques" Challenge?

I was thinking of this and then checked to see if it had been suggested before.

This is really hold but hey, I still like it. I understand there have been similar challenges but it's been a while and challenges get repeated all the time!

Perhaps it could bet he Not DPC Friendly challenge? LOL.

This was the title of my Framing II challenge entry. My second challenge entry ever on DPC, by the way:
