Sorry guys! I found this quote on a blue ribbion and was wondering if this was exceptable for basic. Here is the quote:

"Shot in RAW for some exposure latitude. Levels, HSL, shifted the print colors in the glasses to match, some spot saturation, dodging and burning, and a touch of USM. One of my easiest setups really."

I do not want to get anyone in trouble I want to learn to improve my entries!!!

Spot editing isn't allowed in Basic Editing, and neither is dodging or burning.

If you think it should be looked at then contact site council. We all have to play by the rules or it is very unfair.

Please consider contacting them with the photo. I have been DQ'd once and hold no hard feelings because I didn't realize I was breaking a rule.

It is obvious from your origional post that the photographer in question did not understand the rules of basic challenge. YOu would be helping him in the long run by requesting an inspection.

EDIT -- My current entry in "collections" could very much use some spot editing. 5 of my 7 comments state that there is "something" (i won't disclose) that would look great if I could fix in in advanced editing. If I would have edited this it likely may have been scoring in the 7 range instead of mid 5.

I think you should report yourself to.... errr.... yourself.

Just to double-check.
