What online places are best to order prints from? I looked up snapfish and it seems farely reasonable. I'll be doing our daughter Christmas pictures myself this year so I want good quality but don't have a lot of money to spend either. I'll basically be needing about 40 or so wallets, 4 8x10's, and 10 5x7's.

Thank you for any help or advice you may have to offer. Oh, and I'd really like to keep the cost under 40. So far I've only looked up on Snapfish and it came out to 35.50 with the Kodak Royal paper- heavyweight glossy.

That's another thing, which would be best to get prints on for framing? I'm thinking matte because that's what her studio prints were on.

Hard to beat Walmart for quality of prints and price. But, I like to use DotPhoto.com for a lot of my photo needs. They also have a way for you to share and sell prints from thier site.

I have used Snapfish for years, first with my 35mm film and now with uploaded digital prints. I really like their quality, cost, ease of use and speed of delivery. Only suggestion if you do use them...when you select prints to order click on the "preview" button and make sure they don't get cropped funny. My first batch I didn't do that and they were all cropped short. I have learned now how to edit them in Photoshop to fit specific sizes (4x6, 5x7, 8x10).

Thank you for the tip on cropping.

What paper do you use when ordering from Snapfish? I have been chatting with a friend and she said they have really thin paper but swears by Mpixx. Seems the prices are better in Mpixx too.

I usually just get the standard paper with matte finish. Paper seems to be average, similar to what you would get at Walmart or your local drug store.

I have used Dotphoto and Winkflash, but have stumbled on Mpix.com. I have to say they are a little more but I have been so happy with them.

I second that. Mpix is awesome and they deliver very quickly.

I always use Shutterfly. I find their quality to be excellent and their delivery is very fast :) They also give you 15 free prints when a friend signs up and orders prints. So, that's nice.

Their prices are a tiny bit more than snapfish and kodak, but I think they are better quality.
