Ok I've never done this before but I want to know,
When should you call someone out on a comment they made on your pic?
I received a comment which I think is very rude! I check the persons other comments and they are all pretty good, they tell the person what they liked and didn't and what they thought the person should do to fix it. Well that made the comment they left me look even more nasty! All they did was put it down and then some, which I don't want to post.
I really want to say something to the commentor after the challenge, or during , heck I don't care, But I really want to know why they were so nasty and maybe inform them of a better way to critque people.
I don't really want this to get to be a public forum fight but I'm very hurt and mad as heck!!
ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Thanks |

Use the "report this post" feature to report it to SC and let them deal with it. There's no percentage in getting in a slanging match with other members.

Where do you do that? It's a comment on a current challenge entry, not a post.

I think the "report comment" thing might not actually be working right now. (I may be wrong.) Other possible courses of action are to submit a ticket on the contact page and the first available SC member will address it or PM any member of the SC with your issue. You could also PM the commenter (after the challenge, preferrably) and discuss it with them in a civil manner. If the rest of their comments don't seem to be a problem, maybe something just got lost in the communication.
I personally don't think comments should ever be called out in the forums. It's just not an effective way to deal with anything. I realize that lots of people feel differently. |

I agree That is why I asked for advice and stated I did not want a public forum war. I also don't want to start an arguement with the commentor, so maybe going through SC will be my best course to take.
Thanks again all! |

This is no fun... I say re-post the comment here. Start by refusing to name the commenter, but as soon as the post starts flagging, post the name to inject some more life into it. If it starts dying again, try and get your image unfairly DQ'd and make a fuss. Start relying on your rights and start making up your own version of the site rules. Finally, top it all off with a dig at the SC. Should keep us entertained for at least a week, if done properly.

Mystic, I have not seen a ticket on this yet (I could have missed it) and took the liberty of checking your comments in case the comment in question was possibly a violation of TOS (then I could deal with it appropriately). However, it appears that you don't have a current challenge entry, and haven't entered since september or so, so I'm not really sure what comment it is that you are talking about. I'm confused. |
