It's a really nice camera, but for just a tad bit more you can pickup a D70 which is a more capable camera. With the D70s now out the 70 can be found at prices rivaling the D50.

I agree, if you can pony up a couple bucks more, go for the D70 or D70s. You won't have to 'upgrade' from there for a while.

Though I am in the other camp I might as well suggest that if possible go for the D70.
If when I bought the camera the price of D70 would have been as D50 then I would have been in thic camp!
