This is for charity they say. You place a bid and the lowest unique bid wins. Here is the site. //www.lowbidwin.com
Anyone ever done this on a similar site...if so which one. Also if you have tried this have you won anything?

| I don't understand why they would set a max bid? If it's for charity wouldn't they want to accept more money for the items? maybe i just dont' get it :-/ |

It cost $2 to place a bid...so if an item cost $2500 and they take 2500 bids they will make $5000...but the person who wins will get that item for $2 plus what they bidded.

never heard of that idea, but it looks like a very interesting concept. I think it is a good idea.

| I would be really curious to see how it turns out. I haven't used it before. |

Kind of strange. It's more like a lottery than an auction.
Gotta love that, "LowBidWin website is optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0." alert that occurs on every freakin' page. |

It seems that quite a few of the radio stations over here have reverse auctions going on as a promotion. They get people to send in bids via SMS (at a premium cost).
