If I order "die cut" wallets from a lab, say a sheet of 8, does that mean they do the rounded corners on each individual wallet print? (so they would already be cut apart?)

Die cut is usually something that is cut with a different shape then the normal (square, retangular)

Well, I don't think they cut them into cirles or anything like that. I think it's referring to the rounded corners, but I'm not positive. If it's the corners, it makes sense to me that they would have to cut the sheet of 8 apart and do each one individually. What good would it do to only round the corner of the sheet itself? I've just never ordered them and wondered if anyone had experience with this.

Anyone else?

Yes, rounded corners. But make sure you have some extra room all around the sides. They cut into the photo quite a bit, not just at the corners, so you might get something cropped into if it's too close to the edge. This was on Mpix, other printers might be different.

A cutting die can be made to cut out multiple shapes from a single sheet. For example, playing cards are printed with the whole deck on one big sheet and then cut out.

The trick is printing the image in the same spot on every sheet -- easy with an offset press, but probably a little less so with a photo printer, and doubtful on an inkjet or laser printer.
