A few weeks ago we had a very lively debate about meeting the challenge topic and/or description. At the time, I was very frustrated with the amount of entries which seemed to be completely off topic.

This week I'm being given some of my own medicine. I submitted a photo, which in my opinion is one of the best photos I've taken so far, yet I'm getting my little but kicked. I'd be happy to end with a score above 4. I never even thought about the possibility of getting "does not meet the challenge" comments, and although I haven't received one yet, I'm sure that this is indeed why my score is suffering. This will be the first challenge where my score will suffer for not being out of focus or blurred :)

It's either the camera or the people voting, because I have the same camera, and I also feel that so far I am being low balled, but this is my first challenge, so that could be it as well, I would just wait untill atleast half of the people have voted.

P.S. How long have you had your 3800, and do you like it? I have had mine since christmas, and I love it, but it is my first so I don't know.

Martin, don't worry about it, when you as an individual take a photograph it is what you see that makes it interesting, ok so there are always the technicalities to worry about, but the soul of the photograph is yours alone.

This site is a good site to view how other people see world and hopefully there is something here that we can all learn from, but in essence you deal with your view on the world and they with theirs.

Don't be so worried about comments that haven't arrived yet and even if they do they are not worth loosing sleep over.

I've had mine since January, also my first, and I love it! I've tried one or two other cameras in the same price range, and can honestly say that none of them hold a candle to the 3800. I can't wait till they release the 1GB XD card - so much to photograph so little time. :)

PS. It's not the camera's fault that my score is suffering. My best placing was 9th with my photo Wasserschloß Strünkede, and Pitsaman has even won a ribbon with it!

Here's Pitsa's photo:
