Hey everyone! Melissa is selling raffle tickets to raise money for her 8th grade NYC trip they take at the end of the year. This is what they do so the parents don't have to come up with a bunch of money at the end of the year. I love these people! ;)
Anyway, the first raffle is here and tickets are $1.00 each. The prizes are as follows:
1st Prize - $100
2nd Prize - $75
3rd Prize - $50
The drawing will be held on December 22, 2005 and tickets have to be turned in by December 15th. If you want tickets just let me know how many, your name, address and phone number and I'll fill them out for you and cover the cost if needed until you send me the money. She only has 36 tickets left so you better let me know fast!

Bump for the night crowd. And for those who dont' know, Melissa is my daughter, she is ID: Einstien123 here on DPC and if she can sell all her tickets then I don't have to worry about coming up with the money for her in May, she will have really worked for this trip. Come on guys! I trust you to be good for the money! We're talking a trip to NEW YORK CITY for a 13 (will be 14 when it happens) year old that is also working very hard to maintain her grade average because even though the school says you can have this average (a 73) Mom and Dad say, "Oh, I don't think so, you must maintain this average (an 80) in order to take this trip."

What is the trip's purpose? I would be inclined to buy the rest, but would like to know a tad more about the trip itself.
Thanks,

Thanks, |
It is the 8th grade class trip. They go to NYC every year. To qualify for the trip you have to maintain a 73 average (Melissa has to have an 80 per me and her dad), you have to attained the 3 steps of Knight Hood (Their mascot is a Knight) and they get to go in for the day and either go to a ball game or a Broadway Show. It's educational, cultural and a reward for working hard for the past 3 years in middle school. Melissa has qualified all along the way, 6th grade she had to maintain a 90 average, 7th grade an 85 and 8th grade an 80. The 80 average will stay until she graduates now. :)
She has more tickets now because one woman had to back out on 15 of them, she was going to buy 25 but her husband said only 10.
