Hi, I recently made my own website, this is the first website I make so I really need some comments about layout, colors and other things that needs to be considered while making a website.

the site is in Icelandic at the moment, english translation will be available when final design is completed.

the site does not include any flash, shockwave or other bandwith consuming stuff, it does include some pictures, but they are sized down and should all be under 100kb each. usually not more than one image pr. page exept for one page, there are a few images on that one.

the url is dansig.net

please take a look, tell me what is wrong (exept for the language part) and what is ok.
and please include the speed of the site,( is it slow or fast ?) I really want to know how fast my connection is worldwide :)
I have a 12Mbit/s connection.

It's a nice layout, simple and effective. It also loads fast on my PC (broadband connection), but I can't see any pics at all except for the 3 headers on every page, which might explain the fast load time?

* Try to center it, and downsize the banner.
* U could make a table and place that all in it. It's rather flowing into nothing now.
* I'm viewing it on 1280X1024 and it's almost page filling, imagine that for people with 800X600 (or smaller) ;)

* The text isn't much, but still I have a scrollbar. I don't think that's neccasery.

* Can't find or see any photos (if they are on it) maybe because I can't read it (hit almost every link) or it's loading real slow for me.
(4mb broadband)

ok.. so far, I have to make the site for smaller screens, 800x600, I have to center it, and make the text smaller.

there isn't a photo on every page, just some of the pages, most are only text.

the page is designed for 1024x768 resolution, maby I'll make extra buttons on the index page where you can choose resolution [800x600] [1024x768] [1280x1024] [1600x1200] and resize images accordingly, but that has to wait until final design..just as multi languages.. I intend to have flags on the index page where you can choose between Icelandic, English, German, and maby French if I can find someone to translate for me :)
I'd love to have japaneese and chineese to but my computer doesn't support asian caracters.
