I have noticed lately that more people are posting what would normally go in a signature at the bottom of their post instead of in the signature area - links to personal websites etc. Why? Just curious. To me it seems like spam - you have signatures turned off but people are going to give it to you anyway.

One instance of this was brought to our attention recently and we contact the poster about it. I think people forget to check the "show signature" box at the bottom of their post and then get frustrated when the signature doesn't show up. It would be nice, though, for all such advertising links, etc., to remain in the signature so that users have the option to turn them off if desired. Feel free to report posts or submit a ticket if you see this happening.

I think one per author would suffice. :)

I'm guilty of this...I'll add a signature. I wasn't aware that it was an option to hide signatures so I didn't think that there was going to be a difference in the way that people viewed it.
