new technology for 3D photography
heard its already available for awhile for olympus cameras, anyone got samples?

| Thats looks very cool, but I wonder how practical it is when you can do most of those things post editing? |

Seems a bunch of really crappy gimmicks... just adding more things that the simplest program can do in postprocessing to in-camera functions. Nasty trend if you ask me. I'm curious about the "3D effect" business though... does this involve actually taking two images, or just manipulating a single image?

The 3D effect that's referred to here is a "pseudo-3D" done by shifting image data and applying a color filter. Real 3D is easy to achieve, google "stereoscopy" and you'll find more info than you can digest!
