Anyone else notice this news note from back in October? I read it in Studio Photography & Design's F-Stop column but then found it again on the web today (//www.dphoto.us/news/node/1994). I guess its not like Hasselblad or Mamiya getting out since Tamron has been in other lines of equipment but I did wonder why now. Anyone with any experience in the industry got any insight?

I try to stay away from the speculation game about what something means but it seems like Kodak pulled back from film this year and then even specialized themselves more by producing or marketing high res processors and now a name brand that I've at least heard & read has dropped completely out of the MF market while their parent company seems to be pouring production into lens crafted for 35mm equivilent digital bodies.

May be nothing; may be something. I'm sure it won't matter much to me on a personal level as I haven't shot nor did I ever expect to shoot a Bronica.

Bronica has been in trouble since before Tamorn bought them. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Bronica had nice cameras, but was never in high demand like Mamiya, Hasseblad, Rollei, & Pentax.

Ilford is going out of biz as well.
