between "upload an image to my portfolio" and "upload a print to my portfolio"?
I want to possibly order some prints of shots I have and I'm not quite sure how to do it.
Can some one help me with this?

If you have your print image ready, upload the print, a scaled down image will be automatically added to your portfolio.
Saves you doing it the old way which was portfolio image first, then print image.

edit: your print images do not count against your portfolio limit,as print files are usually very large.
