I can't believe this thread hasn't been locked already. If I was a site council-thing-a-ma-job what-cha-ma-call-it I would have closed it.
Without taking sides, its seems people on both sides like to fight and in public too. :-/

Why should it be locked? It's in rant. If you have no interest, think it's dumb, or are even offended, there is an easy solution. Put the cursor on the back button and click the mouse with your index finger. That will get you right out of the thread.
The site council should stop being the thought police. |

I would like to turn myself in to the Thought Police - I think you know why. |

Just because there is a rant section doesn't mean it's a no holds barred, cage-match.
Why is civility and the encouragement of civil, adult behaviour considered "thougth police"?
I didn't say I didn't have an interest, thought this was dumb or was offended. Train wrecks always have some prurient and morbid interest to all of us, including me :-)

Yeah, be very careful colyla - the Thought Police Site Council have a very different definition for being "banned" from the site. Anyone who has been banned has never been heard from again. I should stop - I've already said too much and I think they are listening... |

Um, well Your Eminence, I was just telling colyla that she should just appreciate all the wonderful things the SC does for this site and stop questioning every little thing. I'm just doing my part for the commonwealth. :)

Since this thread appears to have reached it's natural end, I'm closing it. Any further issues should be addressed in PMs to the user(s) concerned.
Just a reminder, please try to be reasonably civil on the forums, and not post things that could be construed as personal attacks on other users (regardless of whether you feel they "deserve it" or not).
