What flashes heads do you use? how many?
I'm looking in to some entry level ones (meaning cheap ones).
I'm looking at AlienBees right know. I like the Digibee package, but I don't know about the power of the b400. Is it enough power? Althoug their not expensive the shipping might add some seroius cost to europe.
I've seen a similar package in a local store. The INTERFIT stellar 500/3200, with 2 500w flash heads, two stands, a translucid humbrella and a silver one. As the Alienbees it doesen't have a softbox, but for about 400$ what can you ask for? Does anyone knows this brand?
Any other thoughts?
Thank's for your opinion in advance.

You can upgrade the Bees to 800's for $55 each.

The customer service at alien bees is great.... just email them and they should be able to give you a quote. I'm stationed in Iraq right now and I purchased about $2000 worth of equipment and the shipping was only $100.
And it all depends on what you will be shooting. Are you just planning on purchasing one 400? |

the b400's should be more than powerful enough for your average studio...unless you're shooting in a room that's like 20 x 30 and shooting cars and stuff, you will be happy with the 400's.
When the time comes and if you decide to get some 800's, the 400's will still be great for lighting the backdrop or a hair light or a 'beauty light' to eliminate some shadows, etc.
If i get some, I will get the 400's.
