I have a friend who is looking to buy some land in the Rio Negro province in Argentina to create a hunting preserve and he asked me to research a question for him.
What are the requirements concerning importation of deer (and other hunting-type animals) into Rio Negro from other Argentine provinces?
I looked through the Argentine constitution and Rio Negro constitution and saw nothing prohibiting the importation of such animals.
If anyone knows the answer to this, or if anyone knows where I should look to find the answer to this, I would be very thankful.
Thanks in advance,

I haven't found the law, but I found this:
"Wildlife resources
As regards the use of wildlife, which in Argentina is of major commercial and recreational significance (but not so widely used for food), the protected areas have once again failed to play a major role as wildlife reserves and even less as sustainably managed pilot areas. Hunting regulations and controls do exist, and technical experiments have been conducted, but not within the legal and institutional framework of the protected areas. One exception concerns the management of exotic wildlife (European deer, wild boar and hare) for recreational hunting in the southern national reserves and the provincial reserves in the Pampas. Private farms are also making increasing use of these resources for hunting in the hope that they will be more profitable than traditional livestock. "

You can use the search function in "community/photographer profiles" to search members who list Argentina as their home. We have 9 of them. Oddly, among them only one has ever posted to a thread, and he only once. However, one joined this month and another in August. You might consider PM'ing these two and asking if they can direct you to any resources. It's a longshot, but you never know.
This certainly isn't a general-knowledge topic, LOL.
