I have a proposal for the voting. This is supposed to be a site to learn a little something about how others view our photos - right! Well my suggestion is that if someone votes a 1 or 2 on your photo they should be required to leave a comment. I would like to know why someone would vote a 1 or 2 on the same photos that recieves 10's from so many other people.

Hi Steven - this has been suggested (several times over) and basically creates a debate between two factions:

"If you think the image is that bad, you should be required to leave a comment"

and

"Requiring comments will only lead to useless comments or cause people to skip voting on the images they would normally give the low score to, thereby influencing the overall outcome"

I tend to agree with the second group. I tried searching the forums for the past threads, but suffice it to say that requiring comments is unlikely to ever happen.

Best advice is to not take any of it personally - voters vary widely in age, experience, maturity and tact. Take what you find useful and be thankful for all comments you do receive. :)

...oh - and have fun!

:)
