I've been working on taking pictures using candles for light. This picture doesn't look anything like the picture I had in my head. How can I make it better?

You can't see them, but all together I used 15 candles in this picture.

The mood presented is quite nice. The image feels a bit static though. One thing to help with that is to crop a bit off the bottom so the arrangement is a little less central.

don't know if this is a problem in the full-size, but the tops of the glasses and the bottom of the bottle are lost in the backgorund. could either use some more light sources, or use colored glass instead.

The glass is actually blue. So, any suggestions on how to improve the light?

you might actually place a couple of candles strategically off-camera to created the illusion of more refractions from the single source. try to get them aboveto highlight the rims. and a soft spot light on the bottom of the bottle might work, but you'll need to have it yellow filtered to really work with this lighting.
