Ah I see... I'm at IMG_8669 as of yesterday and I've only had my camera since March 1st... that's a lot of shots eh?

So what happens after 9999 IMG_10001?

Talk about strange coincidences! I hit # 8669 this morning on my last shot for the 30 day PaD Pet thread project. Igot my 300D in Late Feb. I will easily hit 10,000 before the end of the year with hoildays, birth of my son, gratuitous self-portraits and perhaps some more woodies. :)

No, that's what I mean by "flipped". Like Asteroids back in the '80s. The score goes back to 0000.

...ps: after 9999, your credit cards expire, you will no longer be able to use the ATM, the banks will shut down, the Stock Market will collapse, there will be utter economic chaos, rioting, looting and general mayhem.

...or maybe I'm thinking of Y2k. Yeah -that's what I was thinking. Just wait til the year 2000 - then all that aforementioned hell will break loose!

Don't want to be seen as getting one over on a fellow dpc'er but - I gat my 300D on the 15th March 2005 and took my 14366th picture yesterday.
When I first got this camera I found I was taking loads and loads of pictures every day and hoping that I would get a half decent picture, now when I go out I ususally take less than 50, because I find that I am actually look at the picture I want and compose it so that I get the picture I want, the way I want it rather than hoping for the best.
My boss has gone the other way, he is taking over 70 a day, he is new to digital and started off being very conservative, because fo the price of film etc.
It has been a very steep learing curve for me but I have enjoyed every minute of it, with thanks to every one here.
