Does anyone make an audio DVD player that I can use to play long playlist DVDs for an entertainment or PA system?

with the right software and a DVD burner you can make an audio DVD that will play on a standard DVD player. izzat what you're looking for?

edit: alternatively most newer DVD players will play MP3s, so you can fit several hundred songs on a CD, or thousands on a DVD.

What I'm looking for is a stand-alone unit that I can use to play music in my gallery. It might be better to just buy or build a small computer, but then I would need a monitor.

why not just get a little player that plays MP3s? there are lots out there (cheap) that will play the same files that are on your puter.

I think you'll have to wait for 5.1 audio DVD's to become the 'next big thing' before you start seeing one, and even longer one to your liking. ;)

Right now there just isn't a push for it so it might be a while.

if you have an entertainment system, you can plug an mp3 player into that system. Instead of headphones, use one of these, and then plug into the auxillary part of the sound system. Works great.

Just found this
//www.zvoxaudio.com/
just set your ipod to shuffle with 15000 tracks and away you go

just search ipod speakers on google and you will find lots
or go into any department store that sells ipod and they should have a range to choose from

not sure how big your looking for but this may come in handy and I'm pretty sure you don't need a monitor unless you want to view JPG images and then you could need a small TV.

Sony 400 disc player

I have the older 300 music disc only version and would love to have this one since it does DVD's and picture CDs.
