| hi all, just thinking of challenges to do and i came up with a couple.. my apologies if someone already suggested these.. the first, snow and ice .. since winter is upon us.. next one, a christmas challenge... and along that vein, toys.. that one could lead to so many different interpretations lol |

Snow/ice is difficult for those of us in sub-tropical regions, those in tropical regions and those in the southern hemisphere for whom its almost summer.
I like the toy idea. :)

| yes.. i guess it would limit the amount of people who can participate if using the snow/ice idea quite literally.. maybe there would be other ways to display ice.. or even snow.. |

Hate to say it but there are going to be some that are going to say Christmas is too limiting, what about the people that don't celebrate Christmas, what about the Jewish Holidays etc, etc, etc. I personally say you don't have to celebrate it to photograph it but there might be less issues if it is just holidays. I like the ideas and BRING ON THE SNOW!

Oh why not, I'm sitting here drinking iced-tea ... lol, might even go try to find a snow cone later :-)

I'm not one for christmas but rather then call it a christmas challenge, call it a holiday challenge. This way if your in the tropics it counts and if your doing christmas it counts as well. I do like the snow idea but its very region specific and I don't have snow here yet. Give me 2 days.

I like the idea of snow/ice as a challenge. Even for those of use whom exist in the tropics we can still take a shot of an image that invokes the imagery of snow/ice/winter.
It just takes a little creative ingenuity stirred with imagination - something I have seen in a number of photographers/artists here at this site.
Plus don't they still sell Snow in a spray can where you can coat "snow" on a plastic tree? :-) :-)

| With the dual challenges now, I think this would be a good idea but team it Snow with Sun or something like that. In the past they would not have worked due to the different seasons but now I think it would be workable. |
