Aha. Well ... the crop is so tight and chosen in that precise way, that it obscures the object. There's a lot of busy things going on with the keys, but the lines don't lead the eye anywhere, and there's no real main thing to be looking *at* when you look at the picture. IMHO. YMMV. Etc. :->

My average for the top ten was 6.30; I was surprised it was that high, as I didn't find that many of the images in the challenge "wowed" me.
i'd be interested in seeing my average vote for each individual challenge. It would tell me something, I think, about my likes and dislikes.

Owen, regarding your pic vs. the other, the scores are so similar that if you run a statistical comparison they cannot be differentiated from each other. I think most of the posters here agree that they are essentially of similar quality.
