the (fixed) lens on my 5100 has a mark of some sort on it, it could be a smudge or it could be a very small chip im not sure. it doesnt show on my photos which is good, but when i try to clean the lens with a lens cloth i can feel a small amount of play in it (which i guess is normal- for the zoom)- but it makes me weary of cleaning it too harshly. are there any liquid lens cleaners that may help dislodge the mark without having to rub to harshly(if it itsnt a chip that is) while still keeping the lens safe? thanks |

Breathe on it, then use lens tissue or microfiber cloth.

Spit and rub with a dirty T-shirt.
Seriously...
Kodak makes lens cleaning fluid, a few drops of that and some lens tissue will do the trick unless it is a chip. In that case, you are SOL.
