Some people were wondering whether the colors in my entry in the landscape challenge were altered in any way so I figured I should post my original here:

If anything the green color of the northern lights is too subdued in the original version (due to the Auto-WB). These northern lights were most quite spectacular - some of the brightest I've ever seen!
As a comparison, to see how bright these northern lights really were, here is the original version of my other aurora shot I've submitted to DPC.

I also received comments about oversharpening in the final version of my landscape entry. Well, I knew about that but the reason for the oversharpening was that I was trying to bring out the stars in the image. Had spot-editing been allowed I would of course have applied more sharpening to the stars than the mountains and the rest of the sky.

Such a beautiful image!! Makes me want to come to iceland to see such a beautiful sky. Totally unreal!!
