Wow, the quality and artistic standards of the photographs on this site are very high. I am a new member here and am profoundly awed by what I see. Now only to muster the courage to enter a photograph into a challenge, exposing myself to critic will be a challenge in itself...

It's always something of a boost to find an outstnading photograph, and then look at the first thing that photographer submitted. Well, maybe not always - try sometimes.

what kind of background do you have in photography? I think that part of the shock value here is there are some of us around here that make our living doing this. and then there are those *cough bear cough cough* who have done this their whole life and retire to be a dpc photographer.

you are among good company here, this is a safe place to explore and find some help. I think I find it a joy in life to be helped and to help, and this site is a great place for that.

Im a photographer for several nightclubs in Greece. So mainly I have to take promotional pictures of DJ's and parties, which means I do not have time to set up shots but have to react fast to whats happening around me. But i like the idea of hunting for the shot...
