I've been looking for a tripod that would connect with the plastic recepticle on my fujifilm 2800z. The only one I've found that I know would work for sure is just a mini, table top type. Do I need to be careful about making a purchase because of the plastic? I'm looking for a tripod with standard sized, collapsible legs. Any help? TIA!

I have a cheap tripod with the quick release and the quick release fit on both my DiMAGE and my Fine Pix 2600Z, it didn't hurt the 2600. |

The screw size is standard, so all tripods should fit. Don't worry too much about the plastic. The 2800 is a pretty light camera.

Thanks for the info, I didn't want to buy something on ebay and find out it didn't fit or something. I'll try the pawn shops and WalMart first, tho! 8-)

Our local Wal-Mart has a light-weight tripod for under $20
